A big thank you to the Lasswade boys who swapped Lasswade shirts for Dalkeith ones to help out the opposition. It was a friendly hard fought game with Scott making a brilliant try. Thomas was fast paced and scored 3 tries, speeding through the "Dalkeith" defence. Daniel Shanks also scored 3. Both sides played good rugby and were keen to score first. Dalkeith took advantage of their Daniel Crabbe who powered through Lasswade defence and scored two brilliant tries. Scott Miller managed to get the ball through the Lasswade team and used his fast pace to score a really good try. Lasswade 7 - Dalkeith 3.

The next game againt Currie was saw our boys fight really hard. Despite Euan scoring a try and Daniel Shanks also scoring a try, the opposition kept finding holes in the Lasswade defence and scored 5 tries. Currie's passing and speed proved just a bit too much the the Lasswade P7's today.

The game against Penicuik was fast paced and lively. Penicuik scored a brilliant try in the first minute which stunned our boys. John was a powerhorse and fought through 5 or 6 opposition to score a brilliant try and Logan again showed his strengh and took no prisoners to score a brilliant try. Daniel Shanks sneaked up the wing and scored another excellent try. Penicuik 5 - Lasswade 3.

Final game against Heriots proved a bit too much for our boys. Heriots powered through our team throughout the whole game. Although there were sparks of brilliance from our boys and Scott managed a great try, the Heriots boys were relentless. Lasswade fought back, and kept fighting right to the end. Lasswade 1 - Heriots 9.

As ever, many thanks to our reporter, Simon, and photographer, Susan.
