This Saturday, 7th June at Hawthornden, Lasswade RFC are hosting an afternoon of 10s rugby in a tournament involving local clubs. In addition there will be stalls selling food - including a BBQ - and live music, a bouncy castle, prize draws and other attractions.

The event is in support of long-time member Graham Wright. Graham served the club both as a player but even more notably as its Head Coach in the mid 2000’s where he steered the Club from the District Leagues into National League status.

Almost a year ago to the day, Graham suffered a freak but horrific accident in his own garden. A fall injured his neck and left him paralysed from the neck down ending a successful career. After a lengthy period in hospital Graham is back to a much adapted home and achieving some independence through his wheel chair.

He is well supported by his family especially his wife Tracy who has organised this event.
It is hard to imagine all the challenges they’ve faced and adjustments that they have had to make and any support will be most appreciated.
